The F-117 Nighthawk was developed under ÒSkunk WorksÓ, LockheedÕs Advanced Development Program (ADP). Entering USAF service in 1983, it flew for the 37th Fighter Wing and the 49th Fighter Wing, retiring in 2008. This powerful and rare aircraft, only 64 built, is covered with RAM- Radar Absorbent Material. It became the first airplane built with very special aerodynamic features and materials that make it almost impossible to be detected by radar while attacking enemy objectives.
